alright so i found a local guy who was selling a car with the winch on it. He offered to sell it to me for 300$. pretty good deal i'm thinking. he said it pulls great and hes used it a bunch. so what do you think? he also said it was 5 years old, so maybe stuff is gonna start going out on me? or am i just retarded?

Get it!  My Ramsey REP8000 is over 15 years old, been used a bunch and works just fine.  Worried about the cable?  Get a synthetic w/hook for about $100.00.
