I have only two more things to do before i complete my lift.

As you see below, my front driveline is a bit short, how can i solve this problem? I live in marysville, california. Any place in the northern cali area that i can go to get help.

Will this get the job done?  The marlin 8" long spine

Also I converted to highsteer crossover steering from the marlin kit. I went to a small shop to do an alignment and the guy told me that he can't do an alignment because the alignment will move again and im just going to be wasting money to have my alignment done. is this true? he also said im missing some parts for the alignment to be done. what else Do i need?
thnx

Also my new gear box is leaking fluid from where the fluid lines are connected to the gear box. can i just use plumbing tape and screw it back on?

yes that driveline will solve the problem. it is actually really easy to extend your driveline too. to save money all you need is a hacksaw and a welder and some tube. (1/2 ton chevy driveline from a blazer is perfect size to use to extend it) that sounds weird about the alignment did he say what you were missing??

well, the first thing is those 2 leaf rearched springs are going to sag befor you know it,  and most likely at different times  are the procomp or superlift??

2nd  it looks like the front pinion is actually pointing down :aaa:  is that a 79-83  front shaft   either way it needs to be lengthened  and YES the long slip you need  but i think your shaft is still too short,

im betting the alignment guy was talking about wedge shimes  to correct the kingpin/trunion angle

we need more pics of your springs,  and axle  but take the pic level with the floor and frame

yes  wrap the line fittings and retighten them

if you have the marlin kit for steering then  you have all you need, well besides a castor shim  ,but  this can be fixed with a quality spring,  please tell me you dont have long shackles on the rear of those front springs,  if so TAKE THEM OFF,  you cant useshackles on the front to get lift on a toyota

Yeah it looks just a little short there, if you can do it yourself that would be best as stated earlier but if you don't have the skills just take it to a driveline shop and have it lengthed to the proper size. You could get that bling ds you pictured with the long splines and you'd be good to go too. A square tube ds is the current thing right now so you may want to check out that option also.

Well i got the alignment problem solve, took it to les schawb and they fixed it right up for me.

About the driveline, are you guys suggesting that i purchase the 8 " spine and have a driveline shop do it for me since i have no welding skills at all.

Rocksufer: what is a square tube ds? sorry for asking alot of question, just that this is my first lift and im new at it.

I'll post pics later when i get the digi cam back.

Okay, the question now is how do i get one of those, because like i said before im not a welder.

I was wondering if i can use a 84/85 extended cab rear driveline? what are the ups and downs?

sof'indetermined

you have to make a square driveline, but its very easy if you can weld or you have a buddy who can(like me) just do a search on it, but if you cant just find a driveline shop to do it whether you extend yours or buy marlins,as both ways require welding. why does the diff look pointed downward, unless thats a optical illusion you should fix that too as it will cause problems. i dont know about using an extended cab driveline.

Let me the try the square ds and see what happens, but what kind of metal and size will i need?

and the diff is not pointed down, its arch very little up, i'll show you guys when i get the digi cam and because you have to look at it from a further distance.

Is there a DIY for a square ds in here? I tried looking but couldn't find any results.

Just go buy trailer hitch receiver square tubing and cut it to the length that you need and use the old drive flanges off of your driveshaft. I am going out today to buy some metal for my sqaure d shaft also.

if i was you i would get the long slip from Marlin and just weld it in place of your spline, do you have longer than stock shackles on the front springs??  if so get rid of them  its effecting your pinion angle  and i bet the steering suffers drastically
