Thats wierd...have a look at the fuse on the little controller board, maybe it is knocked out of position, or maybe one end of the terminal got charred or something that is interfereng with currrent flow?


Any case, here is a 90 deg. butt weld on 1/8 inch straight drag...I find that the wire speed makes the welder a bit ornery unless you get it right, but it welds pretty well:
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Couple more welds, both V-notch:
