Anyone had one, seen one, used one, or know what they are worth?  I tried Google, couldn't find anything about them.  I'm certain mine came out of a Land Cruiser. I'm thinking it will fit into the tray underneath the radio.

I have the same CB, my brother-in-law gave it to me because I have an 85 4runner, and I was thinking the same thing that it would fit under the radio. I also looked on the internet and couldn't find any info. I need to find a wiring diagram so I know what all these wires are for. If you find any info, please let me know.......

I believe it was an option, if you look at at the face of the CB it looks exactly like the old Toyota cassette players face. About 92 I was looking at possibly getting a LC and it did have a CB mounted in the dash. The cool thing was if there was radio traffic on the CB it would interrupt the Cassette player and the sound came through the stereo speakers. GM did this same thing around the same time.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to check for a wiring diagram for a landcruiser to see what I need to hook it up to my 4runner. Not a whole lotta room in there for a CB, and that would make things simpler if it will fit in my dash.

Yup, still looking for info and will post here if I get some.  It appears to be small enough to fit underneath the radio...very cool if it did. I have a Cobra mounted on my speakerbox on my package tray but it's stupid to have a radio behind the seat, even though it faces the driver seat.  The only good thing about my current radio is the Galaxy final I put in it. Transmits far and clear.

They only come in early 79s

My 79 came with a Toyota CB in the dash.  It is much smaller and has less switches on it.  I took it to a CB shop here in town.  The guy that runs the CB shop has been in the business for 40 years and was pissed that he didn't know it existed.  I tried to get him to work on it but he refused.  I got it to work somewhat, but not very well.  Going to put in a little Cobra for the time being. :twocents:
