Was gonna keep it for my other truck but I must sell it......Looking for a fj40 right now so it won't work...but selling to buy a new rifle (hunting season is getting closer) ......... Still in the truck. Asking $800...Pretty FIRM..... Located in Wilton, South of Elk Grove and Sacramento about 15 minutes. Pm me if interested.
Out of a '86 4x4 turbo SB manual.......

how much for the transmission? is it 23 spline?

And yes, all turbo 5 speeds are 23 spline.

What good is a VIN number if you're trying to get parts for your non-turbo?

? Anyways.Don't have the truck at my house.and don't remember and paperwork is still in the truck's glove compartment.Feel free to come and check it out if interested....... Motor has low compression in one cylynder( I believe) and the turbo is froze. But it will start and idle.May end up selling the whole complete motor and everthing that is attatched to it(alternater,header etc..) If interested, PM me an offer and rember it will be a fully complete motor with harness and ECU.

he has a non turbo truck with a turbo tranny... a non turbo vin will look up in the computer as non turbo and will list what original tranny he had in his truck, but he now has a turbo.... soo if you give him the vin to your truck witch is a turbo.. he will be able to get parts more easily.... i think i explained that good? $Beer Chug\'n$

Thanks, Makohon. Yes, that's right. I need a vin from a turbo with 5speed to order some interior trim pieces for the transmission surround. R151s shifters are closer to the dash and the non-turbo pieces don't work with them.

Truck is not a LOOKER at alllll.I repeat .NOT A LOOKER. Should consider the whole SHEBANG only if interested in a rebuildable low compression running motor, good running tranny /Tcase, Rear axle, and complete harness and accesories for a changover to turbo......... with a frozen turbo.... itd be expensive to do a good rebuild on it... the truck still runs? how much for the whole truck?

it's not a looker at all and all body parts and panels are all banged up. Only good if you want the tranny and motor for a swap for an easier tear down. That oughtta give you a clue about it's condition. YES, It starts an run when I bought it. hard to say about the price on it complete.......Haven't gave it much thought.......Got an offer?
