2nd gen 4runner sas spring???

I went to the junkyard today and pulled these off the rear of an 82 2wd pickup with campershell and ladder rack. They are heavier duty than the others I saw there.

Question is...will these work well for my 95 4runner sas? I am running the Marlin spring hanger kit, and want to keep it pretty low. What can I do to make them better? I am looking for good flex, and decent on road manners.
