Im am confused. :headscratch:   I know I need the engine but I was asking if I needed more than the engine wiring harness and the ecu+wiring for that.

If you live in California you will also have to swap in the evap system of the donor vehicle.  Dont' forget about the alternator, p/s pump, a/c compressor, bellhousing, flywheel and clutch - not to mention the minor fab work you will need to do on the motor mounts and various other things.  :hammer:

I live in Las Vegas so that shouldnt be a problem.  I dont have p/s so that can be checked off, I dont have a/c right now so none of that and im keeping my tranny and the bellhousing will be included in the sale.  I know some good fabercaters for the motor mounts.  I figure it will be rather easy :disturbed:

Yeah, motor mounts are easy.  I just did like BigMike did in his 3rz swap and cut the stock ones off the frame, hacked about an inch off the backside and bolted them to the motor.  I bolted the motor up to the belhousing with trans mount in place and lowered it down to where I wanted it to sit and then started welding in the mounts.  It was pretty easy, but I'm not the best welder, so the welds look like bird crap. Oh well, at least they aren't going anywere.

What year is your truck anyway?  Depending on the amount of lift you have, you might need a different oil pan off of a T100 with a 3rz.

If yours is a fuel injected '85 then you should be able to wire it with using just the 3rz engine wiring and the teh stock '85 engine bay wirring harness.  At least this is what I am working on slowly but surely.  I have the dash harness out of a taco too, so I am planning on using the connectors that hook to the ecu for OBDII and for power/ground/fuel pump if needed and a tack signal.  Hope this works out...  :crossed:

Yeah, but I didn't get too far though.  I got a girlfreind and don't have much time for it anymore.  The way I look at it, once I get it running, the rest should be easy.

A cool trick I figured out was to use the taco alternator, since the 22re won't fit right.  In order to use the '85 charging system setup, you need to swap over the diode pack on the back of the taco alternator to that of the '85 for the '85 harness plug to work.  I think I still used the taco brushes though.  Then you have to awger out the plug hole on the diode cover for it to fit right, but it should work fine.   Just my  :twocents:
