I just got a set of heavy duty YJ springs. They are stock height. and I wonder if I can use them for my upcoming SAS on my 95 4runner. Has anyone done this??

If it will not work, I will find some Toy rears and use some of the YJ leafs.

Need some input on this one.

My buddies up in Washington liked to use the YJ 4 inch lift springs when they did a SAS. They flex great! One guy even used the YJ spings on his 3.0 Toyota V6 powered Sami. I think you can even squeeze the YJ springs into the stock Toyota spring Hanger and Shackle, but I don't know from first had experience.

personally stick with either stock rears with a mix of leafs or waggy leafs. i had a set of YJs in my last rig and they failed big time, ever seen a leaf spring make a perfect W

My plan now is to use stock rears up front with a mix of the Yj leaves to get it to the right height/ride I want.
