A D-60????? :shocking:

I honestly don't know.

I was told once it was an early 50's chevy frame.

79coyotefrg

not a 60  maybe a 44,  not a full floater and judging from the narrow springs  and curve of the frame, im going to say early chevy,  ujoints are too big to be a dodge,  could have been a old Jeep J10 pickup

Glen, where do you see these u-joints?
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

I think he is reffering to the U-joint inbetween the driveshaft and the pinion. The diff looks like a D60 front but there are no U-joints for steering so it's a rear axle hmmmmm

MarkyB

The springs are 57" long and 2" wide.  I'm thinking I could freshen them up and use them on the 4Runner.

The axle housing I could clean up, paint it and sell it?

Cheesemaker

Scrap it for cash, the axle housing!  I wouldn't run it!  By the time you get all the rust out of the axle, I don't think you'd get the bearings and seals to fit properly!
