starting my 86 runner

Im so excited i just ordered my tubes and jigs for my runner. I will be starting the build up next week.

When i started to work on the runner I noticed some spiders decided to take over the interior. I was wondering if any body had ever had a spider problem before.They really creep me out.

dang you arnt getting much love here. no replys in a week. need pics to entertain us.

i had a nest of little tiny spiders in my runner but thats because i put a new top on it and i didnt clean it before and didnt inspect it to good. i noticed real quik so they didnt have much time to take over.

i hate spiders. i freak out but im also really allergic and if i get bit it swells up the size of a softball.

sounds like a fun project minus the spiders. im just finishing up the sas on my 86 runner

I will have some pictures up as soon as I nuke these spiders. These are no normal spider these are the gental kind everybody calls brown recluse. My runner looks to be the same as yours could you direct me to your thread.

In the first picture it looks like im throughing the bird. Im really just pointing at my runner. I only got like thirty minutes of work in before the  came to the shop. Everyone knows that drinking and welding does not mix. This is build is starting slower than I though but it will pick up soon.

your going to have to be patient with me do to the fact that the parts for the build are coming from my daily driver but thanks for your intrest. I always thought that doing a sas was more difficult than it really is.

yes the runner has more room and an a/c. Ive been wanting to go a little bigger with the 81 for a while.

well last night we finally got the rear susp. done. I will post some pics as soon as I can. Tomorrow is going to be the most fun of all cutting the ifs off.

Last night my buddy cut the ifs off  while I pulled the engine in my truck. We should have this thing done within the next couple of days.

The rear suspension is finished the front axle and springs are just under there to keep it out of the way. The front will be done tomorrow though.

well the suspension is done other than the hoops and one rear shock mount. Its looking real good other than its needing some paint but some dessert tan is in its future.

well the suspension is done my engine is in but I just have one problem. My gas tank has rust all on the inside does anyone know a easier way to clean it than a wire brush.
