My new spring hangers & shackles
« on: May 04, 2006, 05:30:53 PM »
check these out my new spring hangers & shackles i had made for my 4runner

I'm going to use chevy springs. I'm going to change the shackles, add a square tube to the center to beef them up. My fab. guy is making them for me at this time.

Holy Rock anchors Batman :yikes:

add some leafs to those springs

shackles look good as long as they are for the back,  not the front

Its a hanger, add another and they will be hangers.  The front one sticks down about as far as mine does so i wouldn't be worred about it as long as you gusset it good.  Is that shackle for the front springs or rear?

I'm going to weld a square tube from one spring hanger to the other spring hanger and to the front frame cross member. I was planning on using the shackles for the front and rear after i get the new ones made. Then add some chevy springs that a friend of mine has. They work great on my brothers Dodge but mine i change to fit my 4runner.

Those are huge...would be pretty sweet if you frenched them into the frame then built cross-bracing around them.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
