how neccesary is this thing.  I have some brake steer now, but if i take it off will it get crazy??  i drove around with it unhooked for a bit didnt seem too bad.  i am in the process of cleaning up the front axle and wanted to see if there was an  :shocking: urgent need for me to keep this crappy bar.

If you get into a situation where you need to stand on the breaks hard, you will change lanes.  If your hands are off the wheel when you stand on the breaks...    :scared:  :scared:  :yikes:  I wouldn't want to be in the next lane.

Clean up the front axle with a nice hysteer crossover kit...then you won't have to worry about it.   :yesnod:

Very important part with push-pull steering.

AOR4x4.com (now out of business) used ot sell a replacement that had a heim joint in one end.  I suspect someone else might sell one or could be made.  It seems like it might help "free" things up a bit.

You could cut the bar in half, sleeve it with tube, then get insert and heim of proper size for one end and leave stock bushing on the other.

I ran mine with the drop draglink and no track bar thing.  Brake steer was there but i delt with it.  People have broken steering arms because they took there's off but i never had a problem.  highsteer fixed that problem.
