worn out headlight switch?

My headlights sometimes flash off and I gotta jiggle the headlight switch doohickey, anyone had these wear out? I don't even know what it is called to ask the dealer..

It's called a head light switch.

Yea,,I have only ever seen one go but it did the same thing.Lights would flash off then back on or yyou could jiggle the switch and hop it comes back on..Only in a problem at night :hammer:

It's called a pain in the butt,  I love Toys but I wish they would come with a calalog that names all the tiny plastic and other cheap parts that fall apart after 10 years.  That way we can at least go to the dealer with the right name.

that kind of stuff is a dime a dozen in the junk yards where I live. If your having trouble getting the parts let me know and I might be able to scrownge something up. hell i'm pretty sure i have one actually.

Must be nice I went to the major junk yards here in Fresno and they had like 5 toyotas total and they were all stripped.

While I am thinking of it I have an 85 and I need that black piece that goes around the radio and has the cigarette lighter in it and I also need that little pocket that goes under the radio.

My lights do the same thing, but when they go out the brights light on the dash comes on and the headlights arent on, kinda scarey.    :crossed:  It doesn't do it when the brights are on though.
