front drive line

I lifted the front of my toyota a little more. now my front drive line is to short
what can I do is there a another drive line that I can use or do I have to get a custom one made????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

get extended...my works fine...and cost u less.

Depends if you want high speed or not, and how much dough you got to spend.

Options include:

Square tube - do it yourself, low speed, low cost.
Longer tube - Shop, high speed, medium cost.
Marlin's 8" slip yoke - Shop, high speed and travel, Blingin'.

i tried the longer main tube i bouht the tube from d-line shop enough to make two of them. put it together and found that the slip yoke pops out going over a curb. with out the extended slip yoke its kinda pointless.  :twocents:the stock yoke just doesnt have enough travel marlins slip yoke is like $180 my square d-line cost me $20. eventauly i would like to get slip yoke, and extended d-line i made. put in truck, but for now i need to spend money on other things(rear springs,dual cases,cage,etc.) hope this helps

hows it extended? because you need up and down travel wich was not acheived by just extending main tube. sorry on hi jack

um im in the same pardicament i bought a driveline spacer that bolts  on in between the axle and the yolk bought it off this forum but it was custom made and havent  got to me yet so i dont know how it works but im sendin the money out monday and it shold b here next week ill let u know how it works

This is perfect time to share what i just learned the other day.

So I am standing around in my garage thinking how I am going to make my square front drive shaft when Gasp!
There it was... I discovered that my 85 long bed, reg cab pickup, of course 4wd, had a two piece rear drive shaft.  You know with the carrier bearing in the center hanging from the frame.  The second drive line from the carrier to the axle housing looked like it was pretty close to the same size as the front drive line.

So I measured it and at full compression it measured 29", So I measured my stock front drive line, fully compressed it measured 25"   :eyebrow: 
So since I moved my front axle forward 3" plus the added distance from lift, It should work perfect  :thumbs:
And it does, I have not got my truck drivable yet but i am pretty sure i won have any problems.

Using this drive line from the rear also eliminates the dual CV joint which on a stock Toyota does not allow anymore angle than a stock single u-joint so you are not losing anything
This might work for you, if you went to a junk yard you should be able to find one. :thumbs:

ha sweet i had a thought like that the other day but ive got a reg cab reg bed so it was too long but great find man
