well snohman, locktup and recklund got me thinkin it was time for a makeover on my 83 so I decided to build a flatbed
pulled the bed then started with the B hoop and X bracing

got rained out yesterday but it was nice today and got a little more done.

Should be able to finish the tube work tomorrow then just have to skin it with diamond plate and add some LEDs for taillights.  more pics as it progresses

Looking good Señor!

Looks like you're making progress faster than me, tho.  I ran out of wire for my Miller 210 tonight, so nothing gets done over here until tomorrow.

Is your X brace going to clear your fuel tank?  Or are you converting to a fuel cell?

I've got 2 propane tanks that will be mounted  behind the cab so not sure if there will be room for a box. I've always carried my tools in a canvas bag lashed down so not having a tool box wouldnt bother me.
