i just wanted some pics of how you guys mounted your sliders.  also we welded the legs of mine to 1/4 in. steel plates then to the frame is that a good idea??

Yes, that's a good idea.  Welding tubing straight to the frame isn't real strong and can split open the frame around the weld.

I welded the tubes straight to the frame and every time I land hard on 'em, I can't open the door.Weld a plate to the legs, then to the frame.

At the least, weld some small gussets on the legs and sometimes you can back it up against bed supports for more strength.

I'll get some pictures but I did the same as DirToyBoy did.  The tubes right off the frame aren't nearly strong enough.  You need some gusset supports to hold the weight.  The tubes alone weren't even able to hold part of the weight of my runner when we tested them in the shop.

Who needs a frame?

I used 1/4 plate steel that was 4"X4" to weld to my frame then the sliders to those.  I also welded 4 tubs to the sliders and frame instead of 3.  They are very strong and you can barley see them from some angles like the last pic.

mine are welded directly to the frame and I have dropped on them multiple times with no problems, gusseted on top of the tubes going to the frame and now my fender hoops and flatbed main hoop are tied to them so their even stouter.

guys i dont want to sound like a know it all but my 2cents about welding to the frame is always weld horizontal and at angles like  a sideways v   (   <     ) like that  because when you weld straight up and down on your frame it creates weak points thus is why you weld at an angle or just horizontal

When mine were first built we had 4 2x2 legs welded straight to the frame.  they would bend the frame when i came down hard on a rock.  My passenger side one is even bent still.  I then added 1 more mount per side out of 2x4 and added a couple top braces per side.  They don't bend anymore.  If i did it again i would have plated the frame before welding them on.
