that's how much it costs new, blah. wasn't the screaming deal i was hoping you'd throw out.

what are you going to do on the new double cab build?

Well, check it out. ORS charges $1050 for the cage and it doesn't have all the bracing that I added to it. If you are looking to get a cage cheap, buy the kit for $500 and install it yourself. Labor isn't cheap, my friend!

Reynolds

Oh, with the Double cab, I plan to buy a prerunner and install D60's F&R, 40" tires, linked, coilovered, caged, protected, Inchworm prerunner tranny adapter with a passenger drop t-case and 5.7 gears. Thats the idea at least :D

Lower the front a little bit with a 7 leaf Waggy pack mixed with some 44044's, sell the tire gate swing out and put a tailgate on. I am actually thinking about taking the body down to bare metal and treating it with Gibbs Brand penetrant, it's supposed to protect all sorts of metals for long periods of time. I just think a raw metal truck would be very different and sick lookin'

Also need to patch up the hole from selling the snorkel, get my seats recovered so they match my interior (they have some tears in em) , put in a stock Tacoma center console and that should be it for now :D

THK Matt

i like your truck...... damn son.
and your plans are guna be bomb!

a bare metal truck, with like painted rivets and :pokinit: would be sick as :pokinit:.

I do like gunmetal gray but it wouldn't match my interior :D

Check out how sick this looks! This is bare metal protected with Gibbs Brand liquid penetrant...

Well raw is out. Too much work just getting one fender down to almost bare metal so scratch that idea. In the process of the 3rd paint job this truck has had, hopefully it lasts a little longer, body work is terrible!

desert tan?! :gap: i dig.

Indeed it is, I like it! It was funny, see that dent on the back part of the cab and partially the bed? It's pretty small now but it used to be pretty big so I filled it with bondo then when I was peeling the black paint off, the bondo started to come with it. I actually used a hammer and broke off huge pieces of bondo! Body work is such a pain in the booty, I'm never dealing with it again.
-Brian

Reynolds

This dent was filled and the bondo was removed to expose the dent again LOL Such a waste of time...

Oh it's looked like Crayola threw up on it for a while now. I've been slowly peeling the black paint off, sanding a fender and painting all at the same time. Kinda looked cool for a while but now it must be 1 color again :D Thanks man! I think it's getting close to being time to fabricate some more shiznat for it soon, too much painting :)

I've painted the truck so many fricken times, I'm so tired of it :D

We'll see about Round up. I'm going to be looking for a new job sometime soon and I'm not sure exactly what my vacation times will be like, I'd definitely love to go though!

Yeah I know, I ended up cutting a section out of the inside of the bed to push it out more but I just couldn't get all of it out. Here is what it looks like currently...

And BTW, F**K birds! I have 2 nice new BLACK piles right on my bedside. Little bastards...
