BB's and Golfballs Back from the Dead.
« on: Nov 02, 2003, 09:49:18 PM »
I am after some estimations or factual quanities of golf balls needed to get 37 boggers to behave. At freeway speeds.

I have three lbs of BBs evenly distibuted between four tires.  about a quarter cup a tire.  I think that this may be toooo much. When i go over bumps (sometimes not always) i get an ossilation started that must be from some sort of a wave in the BBs or shift in them. It only will happen at speeds over 50 mph.
Anyone have similar issues?

Im am thinking less BBs (weight)
And I am also thinking that the larger diameter of golf balls may be the solution.

Hey dude
Pirates just had a thread on this-as usual not much got done.  some people seemed pretty happy with their golf balls, some people warned about the impact of a foreign object on the inside of the tire. I think it was under the 'general 4x4' heading over there too. with any luck, some of the dudes on this board will have some advice as well. good luck

yup..I had the same problem with bb's and boggers..I went with gold balls..They seemed to work..I went with 3-5 depending and it seemed to take care of things..Its hard to say how many because each tire is differend..I was able to put mine on a balancer at work and just added the amount of weight needed in golf balls..
Forgiveness is between them and god..
Its my job to arrange the meeting!

I run balls, golf balls......I weighed them, if I remember 2.5oz per, I run 6 in each 16/35 bogger, they balance fine, of course they are still heavy out_a_round bias ply tires so I still get the slight wobble at 30 or so, no big deal. I run these on 15x8 2" BS on a 80 SB
