Bleeding the Power Steering Pump
« on: Mar 12, 2006, 01:26:08 PM »
Ok Guys,

my PSP is grinding like crazy, so I picked up a rebuild one to slap it in ...  I was wondering is there anything I have to do to get the fiuld in and the oil out so not to fry the new pump?

Do I just install it , fill er up and run it?

Thanks for any advice :)

Matt

fill the reservoir, leave the cap off.  Start the truck and cycle the steering lock to lock.  Check fluid level. Repeat 2-3 times and you're golden.  Make sure to check the level again when you're done.
