I know that will work, but I cannot find any?  As well, 20r's, and 22r's are dime a dozen.

I really doubt it's been done, usually it may be done the other way but usually a GM 4.3 in a Toy. Ranger 4cyl. would be more powerful than a 22r so I couldn't see someone wanting to put one in a Ranger.

The 2.3 Ranger motor comes with 98 hp.  The 2.0 litre 20r I have sitting on my floor has around 145 hp, but came with 90 hp stock.  I am looking into buying a 22r motor, which has been slightly modified, and is pushing 178 in a supra.

ha ha...    well, the nead is ticking really bad on my 2.3, and its hard finding a head for it, and the ones i do find, are $$$$$, so i thought why not put in a motor for cheaper then putting on another head?    :dunno:

I think if you can even find an adapter plate for the 22r it would be pricey too, I did a quick search and found nothing on a conversion to a 22r. It's just like trying to put a GM trans behind a 22r not many people doing it.
