X2, I like the diff armor. Do you worry about a bent housing, after swaping to the 82-83 shorter trussed axle. Did you make your own ball gussets?

It's hard to see in the pics but the knuckle balls are gusseted top and bottom.  I have never heard of toy housing bending anywhere else but the knuckles, although anythings possible with my heavy right foot and "spirited" driving style.  Thanks for the positive feedback.

Mounted up my "new to me" bead locks yesterday.  They're made by Eaton 15x10 16 bolt.  I know they're not the best but the price was right.  Has anybody had any experiences, good or bad with this particular wheel?

Thats a real nice build you did and are doing still. How does the truck drive with your bike hanging off the bike.  :beerchug:

eatons are decent rims you should have no problem. Nice rig by the way.

Nice pics. Looks like it was definitely fun.

I remember a few years back a group of us were on the Con and on the way out going up that ledge. My buddy, Jeff, went up it first and me right behind him with no problem. Then one of the Jeepers (fairly stock) in the group had problems getting his rear wheels up. He did finally make it, but the funny part was that he pulled up next to us and said he needed to get a Toyota. It was just a classic memory. He did do pretty good throughout the whole trip. especially for being almost stock.

Nice truck,  I built the bed from scratch.  Thanks for the compliments.

Here are some updates.  Haven't done much with truck lately.  Been pre-occupiued with my newest toy  :bling:(see first pic).  I built some tube door latches out of 2nd gen 4runner external spare tire rack latches with pull handle and all.  They are a rare option on 4runners.  It took me two years of scouring junk yards to find these.  They use the stock striker also.  Also added some seats in the bed and a spill proof cup holder.

DeadlyPeace

Interresting idea with the door latch. Different, I like it!
