'82 Toyota LWB P/U 3" SkyJacker lift install with ???'s
« on: Feb 27, 2006, 05:43:42 PM »
Needing some advice and opinions on my future 3" SkyJacker lift install.
I've been searching this site and others to see what, if anything else, I might need.

My first question has to do with the 3/8" difference in the front axle spring perches. Do y'all find it necessary to install a 3/8" spacer to the bottom of the drivers side spring pack to get a level ride? SkyJacker says their front lift springs are the same, reason for the question.

Next, has to do with binding and such from the front axle during articulation. I have read here at Marlin from a few that have experienced binding from a 4" lift but nothing from anything less. My Toyota has the stock driveline and I'm unsure I might need to install a 4 degree shim to the front.

I appreciate y'alls feedback. I've enjoyed the site thusfar and hope to further my knowledge from all you Toyota guru's.
Thanks again for the help.
