Jun/1985 Xtra Cab Turbo SR5! Oddity
« on: Feb 22, 2006, 11:39:44 PM »
Check out what I just found....

Manufactured in June of 1985 Toyota 2wd Xtra Cab SR5 Turbo Truck with Automatic and all the options except AC with 167K. The title also states that its a '85 model..... The sheetmetal is in near perfect condition and the inside will clean up nicely. The only down side is the motor spun a #2 Rod bearing so it needs a crank and some machine work. I bought it for $450....  :yesnod:

The only problem I have now is that I need to find a Truck and Trailer to go pick it up since its 2 1/2 hours way from my house. I'll be working on that issue tomorrow because I want to get it home to start working on it!

Oh and before anyone ask's - Its not for sale and neither is my 4runner.

I'd have to admit that does sound fun especially with the aluminum canopy on the back!

I got a surprise at lunch to find that Chass delevered the truck to my house and since the sun was out I took some more photos of it.

Includes factory radio and the radio bexel is still uncut!

Even has a rear defroster - although I would rather have a slider.

the SR5 seats are in great condition with no rips and pretty good foam!

Check out those bling'n factory mag wheels!

And the only dent is on that driver side fenders. I like my trail rigs low slung, but even this is a bit too low for me!

Looking under the bed mat for the first time gave me a surprise, no dents and hardly even any scratches! to bad its going to get cut up!

Then I figured I should post these emmisions sticks and tags since they are hard to find in good condtion.

And I've never seen this one before! It was mounted on the top of the fan shroud.

How come you don't wanna keep the auto...seems to me it might be fun to concentrate on wheelin stead of the clutch so much...but that might just be cause I am a clutch burner...hmmmm...maybe I just need a nice new hd clutch from Marlin.   :dunno:

I did not know that.....

How come you don't wanna keep the auto...seems to me it might be fun to concentrate on wheelin stead of the clutch so much...

I like the gear control of the manual transmission. plus with 223:1 I got lots of gears to choose from.

Chaos it and  put a long trave rear on it   weld the rear   BOOST BOOST BOOST

Ah.... NO..... it must be a 4wd....seriously it MUST!

Rick just sold his 2wd project...

True - but somehow I got another one.....
