We all know that in 86' Toyota went away from the solid axle leaf sprung suspension, in favor of IFS. They also went wider with the stance of the those new axles. But I've heard rumors that in 86' Toyota still offered a solid axle in Canada, one that was as wide as the IFS. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Toyota went away from it in the middle of 85.  a bunch of 85's had ifs.  I have never heard of an 86 straight axle, or even a wider stock front axle.  would be cool to know more though.

Overseas I think they have a solid axle until 89 or so, but in canada it is the same as the states... no solid axle after 85.

Furrballs is the big winner :beerchug: , they still had solid axles in some other countries until 95.  I'm not sure about the trac width, but I'd be willing to bet a google search for specs would turn up something.

all solid axle trucks were 55.5" up front, 55" in the rear, they never made a wider one.
