I have been looking around on here, and I was curious as to what kind of vented rotors will work on my solid axle. I have read that early 80's FJ40, then mid 80'2 FJ60's, and even a couple of FJ80's will work. So, crawler guru's, which is it? :headscratch:

I think the mid 80s cruiser rotors are what I used. I can't remember which ones I used but I seem to remember using them from whatever Cruiser was in the mid to late 80s. I just bought them from a local parts store which was the cheapest way to get them at the time. Don't count on them being in stock however. I'm sure somebody will chime in to give you a definitive answer or otherwise you may have to search. I know it is on the site somewhere.

When I priced my junk I just asked about 83 fj40 rotors, makes it pretty easy.  I think 76-84 fj40 rotors will work, not sure on the newer fj60/62 rotors cause they had a different axle.

80s FJ rotors are a direct swap including the hub.  86 and up IFS rotors will work too, but you need your hubs. (the part the wheel mounts to)

That works, I will have the IFS hubs kicking around once I cut em off. Good to hear that there are options. Thanks.

The setup I have uses IFS hubs with a Sky widening kit. It is a good kit and an alternative to wheel spacers. On the Sky manufacturing website they stated that FJ40 and FJ60 rotors are interchangeable.

IMHO, if you search back through all of my posts, there is a pic of my truck with the wide rear and non spaced out front.  I still don't understand all the hype about spacers and widening kits.... :dunno:   Man I just lost -64 turtle points!
