electrical sensors: aftermarket or not?
« on: Feb 05, 2006, 10:28:14 AM »
i have stated in other post that i feel Toyota parts are best in most situations, But i also have a very hard time justifying the cost compared to some of the aftermarket parts. i know that a lot of aftermarktet parts are junk, but some of them have to be decent. NAPA for instance has several grades of parts.

i'm wanting to know what experiences everyone has had with aftermarket sensors. my truck has 175K on it and need a tune up. i was going to replace the O2 and some of the coolant sensors, as my truck idles ruff after warm and allowed to sit for about 10 min.

i looked at the Toy parts and the were very exspensive. has anyone had good luck with any aftermarket sensors? what part was it? and what brand if you know?

I've heard the bosch oxy sensors are fairly cheap, but have you checked out the thread on toyota parts discount in the general section?  It's a sticky so it's always near the top.
