Oh man, you know this thread is gonna get deleted!  Jimbo is right, but left out some details.  Chris used to work for Marlin, and they were in the process of merging with one of their suppliers.  During the move some things came up and the merge was cancelled, Marlin moved back to their old building and shortly thereafter chris left to go work for their supplier and help them open up their own business, trail gear.  As they're a supplier for some of Marlin's parts they undoubtedly have some of the same things for sale, and during all the mixup they did extend the gratitude to Marlin of new higher supply prices.  How nice, "well, since we're not going to be one in the same anymore we thought we'd raise your prices!".  The free shipping is obviously just an advertising ploy to pull in customers to a new business, and undoubtedly will end eventually.

It's okay to ask, they're just warning you it's a real touchy subject, that's all

It seems that Chris only know how to use one forum program too!  I thought I would check it out and I swore I was on Marlin's site for a minute!  Anyway, Dean would kill me if I bought anything from anybody else!  :nonono:

Hey Mike, I certainly hope Marlin is hunting for a new, respectful and competent supplier!  Maybe one with morals and some pride!  I rarely wish bad on people, but

well it does seem to be a touchy subject but it seems ppl want to vent about it as well.i didnt know it was a big thing i was just saying its a hella shady thing for someone to do to marlin and co.i cant wrap my head around the whole issue, all i know is i seen it and im not impressed at all and if any of my friends ask about it i will set them straight, that marlin is still the top dog in toyota goods, nuff said

the reason i responded the way i did was because exactly what this thread is turning into.. and thats why posts like this keep gettign deleted... from this post i have easily gathered people point fingers saying "hella shady" "wishing bad on people" "incompetent, disrespectful, no morals, no pride "little backstabbing CSer (geiger)" etc...

its that attitude that is whats causing the problems here....

It may seem "shady" to some people but they have to understand that this is how the business world works in real life.  The fact that there are no hard feelings is a testament to this fact. ;)

That is a funny statement, I was thinking more like K-Fart would be more appropriate, Walmart is a badass company.

You don't want to get in the way of a Wallymart, they'll run you over like a Mac-truck rear-ending a Pinto.

I locked this topic. Since it keeps coming up I am going to leave it here. People can read it that have not heard the news about TG and Marlin Crawler.
