ok finally started putting new life into my 80 yota i went with a 22r block from my 83 donor truck heres what i've got

83 22r block not bored any (didnt need it ) just honed, crank turned .010
rebuilt head with crane cam 272/282 deg duration oversized ss valves with 3deg angle job and decked .020
going to pollish and port it first to my heddman headers
for right now i'm putting the stock intake and carb on maybe the webber 32/36 i got sitting on the bench but only a temp thing since i want a offy intake (then i'll match the intake to the head )

heres were ya'll 's input comes in what do ya'll think about dual altenators to go with my dual batts and electric fan .
anything alse that ya'll would do whille i got this motor out (thought about a lc engineering flywheel)

dont waste your money on a flywheel  or  offy intake,  you wont get better than the 20R intake,

i have dual alt's  and work great as long as you keep the systems separate

my thinking for the offy was i could run my webber on it and not have to deal with the adapters that are needed to put one one a stock manifold i had it od my 20r and kept getting leaks around the plate so i went back to stock .and i dont want to have to go thru it again with the new motor .i'm also thinking about doing a jacobs or msd ign set up i did it to my bronco and it made a diiference

ok engine is done now its the little things that i have to tie up
alt a scored a chevy 1 wire alt and i am mounting it on the passenger side (should be done tommorrow )
carbs are driving me nuts
i have a almost new 22r stock carb and a weber 32/36 carb if i go with the weber i loss all the darn vac hoses but i have heard that the stock carb is better (had problem with air leaks with all the adapter plates )

i run an offy intake, and let me just say that i'd be willing to pay the $180 for a new one all over again just for the luxury of not having to run that garbage weber adapter on a stock intake.
