bed mods?

So my toys bed is rotting away fast, I have patched numerous times with bondo and welds but I thinks I want to cut it out. When I do will the sides still stand up? either way I am putting in metal latice for the floor. and I need to cut my stock wheel houses out. They are not tall enough. I want to make some new ones that are deeper, cause I bottom out alot.any ideas on this, has any one already don this?

grab a saw and go to town   just support what you leave behind so it doesnt fall off

the front of the bed sides is bolted to the front piece of the bed. they will stand.

just take the whole thing off.... toss on some fiberglass bedsides, and tube enough to make some mounts for those bedsides

I have glass side already. they kinda blow around and move when I am on the highway so I am kinda afraid to tube the whole thing.  they are secured with little rods and rivet like nuts, neoprene washers, and bolts. I looked at it today and the only thing holding the floor to the bed is bondo and the bolts in the floor.
