Topic: V6 4.88 gears will they fit the 4.56 down carrier

As it says above there seems to be diff opinions as to whether the V6 gears will fit into my 4.56 carrier .
Can anyone tell me if the V6 new gears or turbo as some say will fit into my 4.56 carrier.
I am pretty sure they will as the 5.29 V6 gears require a 4.5 down case but not a 100% sure.
any help appreciated.
Oh and the V6 detroit locker fits the 4cyl carrier also.

if they are aftermarket gears they should fit,  the 4.88 factory diffs had a weird offset case

there are no carrier breaks when dealing with toyota gears, factory 4.88s are unique to their case.  they use a standard V6 carrier but the pinion is offset differently in the 3rd member so they could use a thinner ring gear.
