Been lurking here for awhile.  I use to be a regular on Yotatech when I still had my 00' 4Runner, complete with OME, TJM, Sonoran Rear Bumper, Kong sliders, blah blah.  I replaced it with a Sequoia to serve as a tow rig for an 85' 4Runner I just bought for $400.  It's not much to look at, but it runs and the engine is clean.  The frame passed the hammer and screwdriver test and will on need plating in one location.

This is my first build-up.  I just purchased the front half of the Marlin TrailFlex Kit along wiht 5.29's and Aussie.  I also have all the goodies to upgrade the front disc to V6 calipers and vented rotors.  Once the front end is rebuilt I should have the funds to complete the rear.

I have attached pics of my 00' and the POS 85' in the tear down process.

Stay tuned...

Yeah, a friend told me about him and I have since emailed him.  I think he will be the one that welds up my frame plates and set-up my gears.

You suck.  Send me  a growler of Oatmeal Stout, please.  :beerchug:  I miss Free State, that place is cool. I guess I grew up in Chesterfield (hate that place) but live in south city now.  If I ever head out that way I'll hit ya up and we can go wheelin or vise versa.  :driving:

You guys are all killing me.  I'm from lawrence, went to KU, etc.  Lived in Wichita   the last year, but I've been in Idaho for the last several months.  I was home for the holidays though, and you had better believe I loaded up on Free State..... Copperhead and Ad Astra  for me though.  Go hit DPG up in Rose Hill, Dirk is mostly a jeep guy, but they do nice work....you should see his TJ on 40 inch MTRs.  Go hit Kanrocks and Tuttle for me.  I miss my parents land more than anything.  Anyway, welcome to the board.  I've got pictures of my past and present a few threads down from this one....."greetings from Idaho"  Heck, I'm KSRunner for crying out loud.

I'll be in Wichita on Wednesday!!!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Welcome aboard from another Kansas Native.  I hate this place (KS that is, Not  :turtle: )

Yep, Dirks place is a blast.  Nice and close, 15 minutes for me and I will tell you that I did more drivetrain damage there than any other places I have been including Disney and Colorado.

Its a good time and he is a good guy who really supports the sport.  2 rules out there, no drugs and no alcohol......that is all.
