Highlift brands?

After using the new 48 inch maasdam jackall highlift i got for christmas for the first time, i decided to toss it back into the box, it was gouging the paint on the post, and things didnt work well, and it seems like other people have had problems with them too

so, what are the good brands of highlift jacks?

  I know there are a few knock-offs but I believe that the original (which I have) is called a Hi-Lift and is also the name of the manufacturer. If you don't buy the Hi-Lift Brand it's just a knock-off.

what really gets me is that the maasdam jackall has a lifetime warranty and has an 4 ton (8000 lb) capacity

while the actual highlift doesnt have as high a capacity, and i cant find anything about a warranty on the website

im not question whether or not the highlift brand is of higher quality then the maasdam, but why doesnt it have as high a limit? or a warranty like the maasdam?

Don't know, I can tell you this...
I have never come close to a point that I've felt my hi-lift was overloaded.  And also, if you oil them and keep it clean, I don't think you need a warranty.  They are a good peice, well built and beefy.  The mechanicals get a little sticky sometimes, but a clean and lube and good as new.

Hi-Lift doesn't need a warranty, they don't break. (much) I've split wood, winched, lifted, adjusted axles when it wouldn't go in, so on and so on with mine. I have owned only 1 and it has outlasted 7 rigs.

Mine spends every single day of the year outside in the elements and always works great, so long as I clean and lube it!

ive had two nock offs try to kill me one of them threw the handle and ratcheted it self down and damnd near took my head off and almost broke the rear window in my truck and my hi lift brand jack has never tryed to kill me once
