I have a small problem with the front coils on my 84 Cherokee the previous owner lowered the suspension I intend to do a full lift on it later but for now I am looking for the cheapest way to lift the front about 2 inches temporarily till I can save for the full suspension kit .

anyone got any ideas at all it would be greatly appreciated

edit : I would also appreiciate any suggestion of what lifts to look at and what to aviod. thanks

You could go with a set of Up country coils off another XJ, go to your local yard should find them for cheap. They're about 1.5 taller then stock coils. Or get some 1.75 Spacers from Daystar for $40

is Upcountry the brand name. and do they make more than just coils because I'm still trying to decide what full lift kit to buy also. should put that in the original thread.

No up country is an option JEEP had. Came with tow hooks gas tank skid plate front skid plate and it sat a little higher then a regular XJ. If u go to a yard and spend some time you might find them. Compare them to a stock sport or SE model and youll notice the differance. If you wanna go with a full kit id recommend Rubicon Express. How big do u wanna go? Ive got  4.5 kit and running 33's ive trimmed enough to clear 35's easily. I plan on running 37's with the same lift setup just long arms and new axles in the future.

:headscratch:  Huh? this is the first I'm hearing of this mod. When did you decide on doing this?

I have a set of  SUPERSWAMPER TSL's I want to put under it once I lift it they are 33"x12.5x15 I think I bought them from My brother for $150 for 5  1 is 100% 4 are about 75% so they'll last awhile. but right now I am only trying to put  Bridgestone Dueler M/T 30x9.50R15LT's under it. w/about 33% left so they will be good temporary tires. but because this  :idiot:  lowered it they rub just a little and that's doing a u-turn on flat ground

It rubs the lower control arm? if thats your only concern, just get some offset wheels for under a $100.

If you are determained on lifting you jeep now i would just say to buy coil spacers (not the ones you put in your springs but rather on top of them) and some shackles.  If you can, make your own shackels.   Its really not very hard.  This way what ever lift you decide to buy you can just leave it on as long as it doesn't include there own shackels already.

I highly recomend a Rubicon Express lift
