What Toy tranny and t cases?

I am currently looking into a Toy tranny and dual case set up.  I am new to the Toyota parts thing and need some guidance.  What are your recommendations and why?   Many thanks.  Jim

What info would you like?  I am considering going to a Toy tranny 5 speed and dual cases?  It will go into my Zuk.  I know almost nothing about toy trannies or cases.  Any help greatly appreciated.   Jim

What exactly is it going in, are you going to try making it work with your stock engine or are you converting the entire drivetrain, what size tires will you run and with what gears, and any other pertinant info on your rig will help people help you.

   It's an 87 Zuk with a 16V that might soon be a 2L.  Toy axles with 4:88's and 35's for now.  Plans for a stretched wheelbase in the future.  A tagged crawler is its sole purpose.

Is the 16v still using a divorced case or is it married?  If it's married I dunno, but if it's divorced then you could measure and see if there's enough room to run a w series tranny behind it, but since you'll hafta run a 2wd tranny then you're gonna have a lot taller first gear.  If you're gonna go with the 2L then you'll also wanna get a hold of the bellhousing that comes with it, cause you're gonna have the same basic tranny options.  You'd hafta research the available first gears.  You could use a 2wd truck w55 tranny or a w58 out of an early 80s celica, or try finding out if the 2wd diesel toys came with a lower first gear.

i could have sworn i already posted here,     dude,   the L52  is  the strongest SHORT tranny,  you could run a 22R with L52HD and 4.7 tcase  with your stock wheelbase
