you can try putting it on your monitor for a week and see if it works. I've done that with my phone before although a phone is smaller.

I might be too late, but if you can get some dessicant beads and put the digital in them for a day or so that might work. Worked when I inadvertantly flushed my phone!

I took it apart and blowed it out with some keyboard cleaner, but as soon as she got it out of the toilet and shook the water out,she tried turning it on.So I'm guessing it's probably fried.I can't lay it on my monitor, got a flat panel, but I am gonna leave it next to the window so maybe the sunlight will dry it out.

My phone was on when fell off it's clip into the toilet. I heard the clip hit the floor, but didn't see the phone so I figured I left it in the Pathfinder. I went outside with another phone, trying to call my phone to find it.

By the time I realized it was still in the toilet it was all buzzing and being really weird. I took the battery out immediately and really didn't think it would come back to life, but a day in the dessicant beads did the trick.

Although I can't get the charger to work on it, so I had to buy another battery and external charger.

you can buy that bead stuff at hardware stores, and anyplace that has household stuff like mothballs and the like.

Also, I had a protable CD player that got dropped after getting off the bus in HS, dropped it in a puddle, while it was playing, the display flashed weird, then shut off.  Took it home, dried it on the TV, put in new batteries, worked just fine.

Where do you find desiccant beads at.

Brownells is a gunsmith supply company that carries all kinds of stuff like that. They have water displacing oil too which works well for storing metal parts.

We get all kinds of parts in at work that have desiccant packs in the boxes. I throw lots of that stuff away.

The canned air is mostly Co2 and will cause condensation. That won't help. You need to draw the moisture out and the best way without putting it in the microwave would to put it into some desiccant beads.

You can try a automotive paint shop.

Wow, I hope that bucket of water didn't have any gray water in it!!

A couple years ago, I was on my cell phone at work :nonono: :shhh: and I was bending over above a bucket of solvent, cleaning some transfercase gears with both hands, and had my phone at my left ear with my shoulder. Then, I accidentally dropped a gear into the bucket, and my first reaction was to move my head away from the splash, and down went the phone into the bucket! I quickly grabbed it, pulled it out, and used some compressed air to blow it all off. Then I heard my buddie going "owwww owwwwww STOP IT!!!!! ahhhhh!!!" and he was still on the phone! hehehe The sound from the compressed air was killing his ears. I told him what happened and he was laughing.

Man that phone always smelled like solvent and I eventually just had to get a different phone.
