Hi guys,

I just received my Marlin 4" springs and installed them on my 1989 extended cab that has a 3.0l v6.

the springs are sitting almost flat after flexing them on a few rocks in my back yard. I guess my truck is a bit too heavy for these springs. A trip to the municipal dump revealed that my truck weighs 4400 lbps with me and my tools and spare tire.

Has anyone added a leaf to the Marlin pack?

What is your shackle angle? I'm sitting at about 48 deg static right now. I can move my front hanger forward about a half inch or so.

help me plase,

Simon

Where would you add this leaf? The only place I can see is between the 2nd and 3rd leaf. I could even do it without opening up the clamps since there is a gap in them to allow for more droop. Do you know if one leaf will do it or am I getting into a trial and error senario?

Has anyone been able to get through on Marlin's phone lately?

I still need help with my setup...

I have a 89 extended cap v6 truck weighing 4150lbps. I bought and installed the Marlin 4" lift springs. The springs went 1" from flat on the first ride. I then followed 79Coyotefrg's advice and added a 2wd leaf between the.  2nd and 3rd leaf on the marlin pack. It gave me about .75" more lift for a total of 1.75" from flat. Should I add yet an other leaf? I have 44.5" from eye to eye between my hanger and frame tube. I'm running a 5.5" shacle. Any help would be greately appreciated.

Post up some pics so we can see what it looks like.  This post would actually be better in the customer service and product support section, you'll probably get a direct response from Chris Geiger there.

Is there a quick and easy way to move the tread to an other area?
