putting a 5 speed where a automatic used to be

hey guys  i got a line on a 88 4 runner with 22re and a auto.$500.00. :yikes:
was wondering if any of you guys ever put a stick where a auto was? ???
i've got a 86 pu with a good trans and all the other parts.
seems like it wouldnt be to hard. :yupyup:  what about the computer?
everything else should bolt up right? just change the peddle
assembly under the dash.  :turtle:  :turtle:  :turtle:
just what i need. another project. :shocking:

Yea its an easy swap.  You'll of course need everything that goes along with the 5 speed.  The clutch hardline, master cylinder, slave cylinder, flywheel, clutch set, pedals assembly, and of course the trans and shift boots.  The hardest part of the swap is drilling the hole for the clutch master cylinder and thats easy.  Otherwise its a straight forward swap.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

You don't even need the whole 5 spd. pedal assy. Just pull out the clutch pedal and mount it in your runner. The auto pedal assy. has the bracket to bolt up the clutch pedal. At least mine did when I used an 87 2wd auto cab. Just drill out the hole for the clutch master, mount it and be done.

You might have to do a little floor board modification, but it is really straight forward.  I also had to do some creative wiring with the neutral safety switch.
