I've got two radiators sitting in my garage, and I need to put one in my truck, I just cant decide which one.  I have the one oout of an 88 4runner, came with the motor I just put in.  The cooling fins are in great shape for the most part, but there is a great dent in one spot that damaged the water passages.  Also, it is a bit rusty inside.  My other alternative is to put in my old radiator, with a good number of damaged fins, but no damaged water passages.  Also, there is no rust in this radiator.  :dunno:  any advice?  aside from getting a new one, I cant afford it right now.  I think my old radiator is fine, but I wanna make sure

kinda what I was planning on, I just don't wanna have to overheat to find out that I'm wrong.  I know its bad idea to have damaged water passages though.

Go witht the non rust Rad,  those fins can always be helped out with a pair of tweezers if you are REALLY bored this weekend.

What do you mean by damaged fins. Are the ripped off or something?
If they are just folded over, just straighten them out with a pocket comb.

some are just folded over, and some are torn so they're sticking out at odd angles
