i was just wondering if there was a link to that truck so i could read all the specs. if someone could post up id like to read about it just cause im curious.

you dont HAVE to run a body lift to have a 3.4.... I did a 3.4 swap for my buddy in his 92 x-cab and we just modified the hood a little and the motor fit just fine.... the swap is seriously EASY as flopp man.... less than 10 wires and the motor bolts into a 3.0 truck

X2. mine is in my 90 4runnr and i don't run a body lift, but i do need a hood scoop..  I ended up cutting out a small ammount of the hood support as well as hammering a small bubble into the hood until i can put a scoop on it, it will work..

Idk if the supercharger is taller than the stock intake plenum. but mine is stock..
Wish it was S/C'd

well i had a hydro line rub a small hole through my radiator while on the con so im gunna JB Weld it up and hopefully that gets the job done there keeping the motor from overheating.

my ram was also leaking like crazy so today i got under the truck and pulled the ram out and took it all apart. i went down to one of the local hydraulic shops and got all new seals for $4.55 which was cool. while the guy was getting my seals i went to get a drink of water and as i walk back up to the counter i noticed my rod thats sitting there is decently bent. they wanted $50 to fix it. i asked if they used just a press and they said ya so i took care of it myself. its as straight as i could get it. there were also a few small burs on the rod that i sanded down with some 300.

i think tomorrow im going to up all my lines to 3/8. they are all 1/4" i think it will push the tires better? what do you guys think???

In that first pic in the latest post it looks like he did the same thing i did and hammered it..

You can kind of see the bubble there..  NOt sure though, but it looks like there is a bump in his hood.

ya by mod the hood I mean cut out a whole 2" of the support on the inside and your good to go...it made a tiny dent in it the first time we closed it but were talkin 1/8"

thats cool. i always saw hood scoops. my impression was you seriously need 2 more inches up there so the hood could close or cut it all out and put on a scoop. thats cool to know.

ya man your truck would be pretty much perfect with the 3.4 in it... that motor will turn a 3rd gen x-cab into a freakin' dragster....

ill tell you what, my motor is very healthy and i havent had any issues with it in 6 years as of this last month. i actually dragged my friend last weekend and killed him.

3.0/R150/duals4.7s/60,14/with 4.10s/42s

heads up we were the same my truck being decently heavier and my truck was flat out faster by a lot. it has all its power between 4-5K though.

oh I know man I am not doubting your motor at all I am just saying the 3.4 is a true beast.... it would be a night and day difference from the 3.0 no matter how healthy your 3.0 is.... my buddies 3.0 did quite well before we pulled it for the swap too... the 3.4 has TONS of power and torque from about 2k-6.5k.... you just gotta drive one with a swap to understand i think

I say i have around $1200 into the swap..  Which was well worth it..   as for hood clearance mine was absolutely fine at first and would close without a problem..  But after a while i noticed the torque of the motor combined with shitty motormounts caused it to hit the hood so i just hammered it until i an get a scoop.
