1983 Toyota Shortbed Pickup --- $1500 as is

My buddys has a 1983 Toyota he wants to sell. Its a shortbed. It does not pass smog... so thats why its as is. It does have a clean title and has pink slips in hands... The truck runs and drives, just doesnt pass smog.

It has:
153260 miles
33" BFG ATs still good tread
3inch Body lift
5.29's front and rear
rear powertrax (both gears and locker have less then 1K miles)
new headgasket
tcase rebuilt 1 year ago
front axle rebuilt less then 1000 miles
COLD A/C
Rust free
bed has a few dents
no front bumper
rear tool box

It has more stuff but I just cant think of it.

He wants $1500 as is!

He hasnt tried hard at all to smog it. Took it in, didnt pass so he just wants it off his property. He was considering parting it but if he can sell it whole, its easier on him.

Thats pretty clean truck. If I wasnt hurting so bad right now for money I'd take it off his hands. I have been able to make a few non-passable vehicles pass so that doesnt concern me. I'm sure someone will pick this thing up real quick, if not maybe when the money comes in again I'll give him a call.
