Hard to say without looking at them what they will need, but I am a sucker for a deal like that and think that if they really don't need much more and are in at least decent shape it would be worth it. Don't write off that rotor yet either, a little rust isn't a big deal. Take it some where and see if it can be surfaced. I poked around, found a leaking water line under the throttle body and replaed it. Seventeen bucks later he was back on the road. Find out why she thinks the head gaskets are blown and get a compression test on em. If it turns out to be even less, you may end up with a cool truck for next to nothing.
