This  chick i know  has 2  86 cruisers  siting in her yard    she say  if 1 gets fix  she will give the person  who fixes it the other one.

They both need head Gaskets  so she says   and the one  the tires off and the rotor  has bin siting in the dirt.  I don't know what moter  is in them   but they are both the same  and are also manual trannys.

How much $$   am i looking at   and is it worth it :dunno:

If they are 60's or 62's personally I wouldnt bother.  They have the same 8 3/4" diffs as a fj40.  Now if they are 80's (doubtfull) all systems go, those are the good axles.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Hard to say without looking at them what they will need, but I am a sucker for a deal like that and think that if they really don't need much more and are in at least decent shape it would be worth it. Don't write off that rotor yet either, a little rust isn't a big deal.  Take it some where and see if it can be surfaced.  By the way, my brother had a car with a leak and two mechanics told him it was the head gasket and wanted a fortune to fix it.  Neither of them ever checked the compression.  I poked around, found a leaking water line under the throttle body and replaed it.  Seventeen bucks later he was back on the road.  Find out why she thinks the head gaskets are blown and get a compression test on em.  If it turns out to be even less, you may end up with a cool truck for next to nothing.
