Someone is going to get one heck of a cool rig....  I have spent countless hours working on this rig.  And I don't even want to add up the receipts (haha).   I purchased the truck back in Sept 2003 for $2000.  Since then it's had all the work listed below done.  I know there is no way I'm going to get much of my money back, but I'm not going to give the truck away either.  For all intensive purposes the truck has ~ 3,500 miles on it.  It was DEQ'd right after the motor was replaced (emissions hardly registered).

The truck drives excellent for a truck.  It tracks straight, brakes fine, steers fine.  It can easily cruise at 70-75 mph (its been up to 85mph).  On the hwy it gets 21mpg in the city 18mpg.  It can pull hills easily even at low RPMs (2200-2500).  Everything works in the truck (lights, heater, wipers, etc).  There is no rust at all.  It has a clear/clean title.

It really shines off road!!!  With the dual t-cases it has a crawl of 108:1 (nice n' slow).  It has plenty of flex.  The suspension is very soft so it takes bumps well (not jarring).  It is 100% reliable and has never let me down or stranded.

ahhh that is such a bad ass rig i want! I know you probably wont want to trade but i need to try anything because this is my dream rig! I got a 1985 toyota single cab short bed on 35 inch tires with 5.29 gears. 1,500 on rebuilt 22r has duel rancho shocks up front. Clean ass truck. Good dd smogged and registered and everything. Have over 12k in receipts. Alot more other :pokinit: on it. Maybe we can work something out! email me at [email protected] or just post here if you want to try and work something out.

montypower

I really don't want to do a trade....  Especially, since I'd just end up selling it.  But that sounds like a nice rig you've built!!!!  The only reason this is being sold is due to time...  I'm buying a house soon and switching jobs.  Sooo the less projects = good thing.  Funny...  I thought I would never sell the truck.

would u take off the tires and lower the price? Hey man maybe we can get this worked out im sure i can sell my rig for like 5k or so even though im getting fucked but i want to buy your rig bad would it drive to californa ? i would be useing it as a daily driver too

montypower

I might consider taking the tires/rims off...  but I'm not crazy about selling stuff separately.  I drove the truck down to CA just last month and it did awesome.  I have not used the truck as a DD but it's plenty reliable.  I'll get some interior shots this weekend....

I put another $300 into the truck...  makin' it nice n' ready to sell.  Sooo....  Asking me to drop $800 seems a bit much.  The truck is fully cleaned up... could be driven anywhere... or 4wheeled the day you buy it.

I'd consider $4k in a couple months (if the truck is still around)...  I'd definetly wheel it a bunch more before I sell it for $4k tho.   You guys know the cost to build a rig!!!!  These mods were done right...   I have $3k into the motor swap, $1k into the dual tcases, over $1k into tires/wheels, gears, lockers, sliders, interior, etc....

Please know...  I do appreciate the offer.  And I'll keep you in mind.

montypower

I don't know about that...  But here's how it use to look:

I can say...  the guy who owned it before me did the most crappy work I've ever seen!!!!!   Plus he lied about it...  What's the deal??  Anyhow.  The person who buys it now will have a nice rig!!!  And it's really fun to drive!!!!!

I wonder if it could pass california smog

I would be surprised if it didn't pass...  I can post the emissions test ratings if you'd like...  But it barely even registed!!!!  I was impressed.  All emissions equipement is there... full new exhaust.

Yeah.  That guy could not weld worth crap!!!  And his wiring was bad at best...  I spent countless hours going through the truck.  One of the first projects was gutting the interior and re-doing it.  Now it's awesome now tho.  All the wiring is correct.  Everything works properly (lights, blinkers, fans, wipers, etc).  Oh yeah...  And it had a "Re-built" engine when I bought it...  Funny... The compression was sooo low.  And he had no receipts.  ---   This truck rocks now!!!!

that would be great if you could post them. where are you located at again? Never mind i see it now

Emission Test (April of this year)

THC -
Limit: 8.50
Reading: 0.80

NOx -
Limit: 8.32
Reading: 1.15

CO
Limit: 149.0
Reading: 3.5

Like I said...  It is sooo far below the limit/requirements...  I don't think you'll have trouble passing emissions anywhere.
