need help from guys that know the highlakes really well

A buddy and i are trying to find the way into murphy and oliver lake.. ive seen the trailhead on some topos for murphy and will try and look for it.. the problem is that the maps are from 2000 and later so i think some things have changed a little.. does anyone know if there are any other ways to get to these lakes other than heading to the back side of morris twoards ben lomand ?

any of you old school high lakes runners know anything ?

bass and i wet up to the ben lomand trail the other day that place is a mess ! wicked creepy in the dark but awesome. they stopped clearing trail about a 1/4 mile before the burn ends. we were thinking about getting a bunch of rigs together and finish cleanin the trail up. anyone interested?
