Any one run with an offenhauser intake with a 4 barrel holly

Does anybody have 22r block with a 20r head, with an offenhauser intake with a truck avenger 4 barrel holly in a yota.

Need some help with this unit!!!!!!!!!!!

why go through all the work into an engine, and run a carb. i still don't understand people... a standalone is so much easier to tune. and is cheap if you go megasquirt.

yeah right, if you have a lot of money and time to blow, and like soldering circuit boards.  don't get me wrong, EFI is nice, but ii like carbs.  different strokes for different folks i guess.

truck avenger is WAAAYYY too big for a 2*R engine.  the only guys that really see any benefit from those big carbs are the roundy round racers in their celicas and 2wds and even then, i still feel it's too much carb.  i'd get a 2bbl adapter and run a weber or a 350 holley if you want to go that route.

C series is a much better  bet imho, even the stock 20R manifold isn't that bad.  i like the C series because a weber bolts directly on with a 1/2" spacer(to keep the acc. pump and throttle linkage from binding).

I tried to run a holley 350 on my '84 one time. What a pile of crap. I tried re-jetting it , adjusting the float and still couldn't get it to run like I wanted. After 4 different carbeurators , 2 aisins, a holley 350 , and a weber 32/36 I finally had enough and converted it to EFI. That was the best thing I ever did to that truck.

Out of all the carbs I had on that truck the stock Aisin with a few minor mods was by far the best one for off-road.

I'd say that a 4-barrel would be WAY too much for a 4-cyl. I have a buddy who races round track with a HIGHLY modified ford 2300 4cyl and they only run a holley 350.

yeah, there isn't a real need for a 4bbl carb on these engines since a progressive 2bbl will work fine.  if you need more juice, there's always the 38 weber, or whatever it's redline replacement is these days(webers are getting scarce and redline is starting to sell a different carb with its kits).
