check that the windsheid isnt leaking water on the ecu
ok, just for total laughs try next time it acts up insted of waitting for 10 or what ever mins. try spraying starting fliud on the base of the dist. (the metal not the cap) this will cool the dist. do it untill the dist feels cool. get back in and see if you don't have to wait this time. if that helps then you more than likey need a new mod for the dist.P.S. do not do this with the truck running and do stay away from the hot exhaust manifold don't want ya to go of corse you could use water too, from the ice chest.
Oops, I meant to say "pick-up coil". sorry about that. that what I get for posting from work. and don't worry about cold water on worm dist. it will not crack. it that was a possability no one would ever go though watter on the trail.now poring cold water into a over heated block, now there you mite.
whats a pick-up coil a what is its job.... its obviously different than a coil since its so much money
it's in the dist. it tells the "brian box" when to fire the spark plugs.
yea i know what a dist is i just never heard it called a pick up coil... But if is was the distributor wouldn't we be feeling the problem all the time
Dont overlook a vacuum leak, it could be an intermittent leak somewere that opens and closes... i've seen it
