Ok we've got just about EVERY MCR4 thread imaginable except a self/family preperation list for the weekend. Hoping everyone will post up there list's and we can all collarborate one big list together so we dont forget anything. I typically make a list on the computer, print it out and post it to the fridge so we've got something to check off as we get it all packed up.

Here's my small list I've got going thus far.

Tent
Sleeping bags
Pillows and extra blankets
TP
Plastic bags or 5 gallon bucket (pack it out!)
Tie down straps, Ropes and Tarp
Air matress with Inflator  (yes i'm bringing my g/f with me...  :D )
Two sets of warm and normal cloths
Coleman burner stove and propane
Spare tire
Tools
5 Gallon gas cans
Tow strap
Hi-lift  (mines not perminantly mounted so I just gotta toss it in)
Food and water

It's not that extensive but I think it'll do the job for a two day trip, anyone else care to add their contributions?

TIA,

Shamb  :turtle:

Give me a 3rd and i will haul it in.  I just don't feel like spending the money that i don't have on a setup third with 5.29's.  If i break a R&P, screw it, it will be 1 ton time.  I will drive out in 2 wheel drive.  Done it before.

Ramrod

Yea dont feel alone, although my rig is set (I HOPE!)  my two buddies are going threw hell trying to get their stuff together. I worked a looooong day today, drove two hours home and started wrenching on the 2nd Gen Runner in my avatar. He's having problems with it starting now that we got square driveshafts made for it and toynorcal's ride.

So the next few days i'll be ripping my hair out trying to get everything situated... its seems to be a ritual with me these days  :smack:

Glad to hear we've got alot of people bringing spare parts cuz I may need them! haha j/k (hopefully)

Whew. Pulled a marathon wrench-fest last night. Overheated the welder a couple of times, and spray painted my fingers lots-o-colors, but finally.....(i think)......the truck is done. Now I just need to clean out all the :beerchug: cans from last trip, and start packing. Still need to swing by the store and get a few essentials.

I can taste friday morning....Can't wait.

See you on the 'con

I worked until 1am again last night, and TURBO worked until 4am.

TURBO must be working the hardest of everyone, get this:

  • Last Friday: He work up around 7am? and went to work.
  • Fri Night: Both TURBO and I worked all night and into Saturday, however TURBO fell asleep under his rig for about 3 hrs.
  • Sat. Morning: I went home at 10am, took a shower, went to Church, then went back to the shop at 1pm. TURBO stayed at the shop the whole day.
  • Sat. Night: Both TURBO and I worked another all nighter.
  • Sun. Morning: We called it a day at 7am. Locked up the shop and went home. The shop had been open from Friday morning until Sunday morning STRAIGHT. We never turned off the lights or even closed a single door.
  • Sunday: I was wasted and slept until 4pm. But TURBO got up and went to work at lunch time.
  • Sun Night: TURBO worked A THIRD all nighter.
  • Mon Morning: TURBO called me at 6:30am, so I woke up and went to the shop to lock it up (since I've got keys). We then went to Dennys for breakfast, then TURBO went straight to work at 8am and I went straight to school.
  • Mon Night: TURBO FINALLY goes home to sleep.
  • Tues Night (last night): TURBO worked until 4am, I only worked until 1am.
  • Wed night (tonight): TURBO told me that he wants to work very late again, and I think I only need to work until about 11p or so.
  • Thurs night (tomorrow): TURBO must work another long night, and I told him I would help him since my rig should be nearly ready to go.
  • Friday: The shop will be closed, so both TURBO and I are going in at 7 or 8am to work on our trucks with no one there to bother us, at 11am I'll have to leave to go take a Japanese test at college, and then I'll hit Winco and get my food supplies, then I'll go home and pack as quickly as possible, and try to be ready by 4pm. TURBO is not sure when he will be ready, even he'll have a full day to work. I really hope he can be ready by 5 or 6 pm at the latest. If we leave by 6pm, then we can make Loon by midnight, and make the Little Sluice by 2 or 3am, and this is assuming we have no problems, especially since TURBO is just building his rig from the groud up including a cab and engine swap (Turbo 22R-TE), so he won't even get a chance to test drive his rig before we leave for a 6hr road trip and the 'con. :sheerterror: Sheesh! :scared:

So as you can see, we've been EXTREMELY BUSY. During that Friday - Sunday period, I was awake for 46 STRAIGHT HOURS. I'm not sure if that's the longest I've ever stayed awake at one time, but for sure it's the longest time that I've stayed awake while working hard and operating machine tools, etc.

My sleep cycle is still messed up. Last night I did not get tired until 5am, so this morning I was BEAT wakeing up at 8am. But I feel fine now. Go figure :hammerhead:

I'm sure he will, but I dont know if I'll have room or time for the paint gun..

And now he has camo seat covers + his camo outter wear, so his truck will look like its driving without a driver or chair! :ha_ha:

Dropped it in yesterday night Geno. Rudy and John had to go get his wifes car on base for some reason.. so i hung back and got his stuff together. I tightened it all down, had to cut a little off for the forward slip but it seems OK.....

had a little binding as it spun but nothing can be done until he get's CV's because that angel is just freakin insane!

I'm gonna call here in a few and see whats going on with his starter issues... brand new starter, new starter relay.. still wont start.. (only occasionally like last week)

uuumm.. we even by passed that trip switch for the clutch.. didn't change anything.. you can hear the starter spin but it doesnt sound like it has enough power to push that gear out to spin the flywheel so he's gonna try and hook a push button start switch directly to the battery and by pass everything.. see if its just a loss of power issue.

:crossed:

EDIT:  Hyena bring a set of inners and outers, i'll try and grab a quick $80 for those, tia
