Help for Newbs to the 'Con
« on: Sep 07, 2005, 09:42:35 PM »
I'll be heading up Thursday morning and I spoke with Big Mike a bit, and today Chris and Marlin got me a fat stack of the 12" Marlin Crawler stickers to post along the way to hurd everyone in the right direction. Once you pass through Pollock Pines, keep an eye out for the Marlin stickers @ every intersection and hopefully everyone will find Loon with no problems.

Is this one 488 or 489  :dunno:  :hahaha:  . We'll be @ the Springs probably mid day Friday with a good camp spot all setup, relaxing, and watching the hurd roll in. If you're starting the trail early Friday morning, you might catch us camped @ Ellis from Thursday night and you're more than welcome to head on through with us if you want.

Robb's is just off the road on the way in, (you can see it from the road). Those directions should help you along okay. After Robb's, stay to the right when the road Y's and you'll gt to Loon.

Here's a great map with directions from HWY50 to Loon, posted on another thread, but I thought I would share it here too, and I've also attached a huge map of the Rubicon trail.
