Here is a pic of my truck that I just put propane and a flatbed on. Just got back from Moab, it was a blast.

How did the propane work out in Moab?  Was there places to fill up out there?  Looks like you had fun  :turtle:

Truck looks sweet, what kit are you running and what tank is that, also like Volcom said how hard was it to find a places to fill up, $2.66 a gallon is getting old really fast :hammerhead: .

Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
There are only 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count and those who can't. Which are you?

The propane worked great, I didn't have any issues with anything, it's like a different truck with no carb. I'm running the GotPropane kit with a 23 gallon tank out of a motor home. There were 5 or 6 places to fill up there in town.

Thanks for the reply back.  My wife saw the picture at the top of the page and was impressed and asked where that was taken.  I told her Moab and she's ready to go.  Looks like I need to get started on my 4Runner now that I kinda have her permission

How did the 23 gallon tank work out?  Did you drive your truck to Moab or trailer it?  I'm looking to try and find two 10 gallon tanks somewhere on the 4Runner.

Is running propane on the road legal? Is there a way to rig up a fuel gauge (in your cab) to see the level of propane in your tank? How is the power when compared to a gas 22r?

I would guess that the picture was taken on the Moab Rim trail, if I am correct there is an easier route to the left of the photo.  I have taken both routes.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Yeah, it was on Moab Rim, there was an easier line to the left.
