I finally got my Chevy springs on and my BJ spacers installed...its been a long 6 weeks since I parked my truck due in part to knee surgery and mainly to lack of funds...But now all is better she sits on all 4 wheels again today for the first time in 6 weeks. I made the spring hangers and rear shackles (which I'll be trashing for a single shackle design) got a All-Pro u-bolt flip off pirate and got the springs at the junkyard, BJ spacers are from TRDparts4u. She'll be back in the garage tomorrow or Monday to weld my sliders on, move my rear spring hangers and extend my brake line then will be back in there in a week or so for gears and hopefully a locker. Also in the pics is my new rear bumper that I finished a couple weeks ago  :bigok: and yes I know my front end still doesn't flex for crap.

Just uncrank the front torsions you should be able to get more flex out of it than that.

Ya they're 63" Chevies...the torsions are at stock heightish its at 17.5" rim to fender with BJ spacers and a 2" BL.

I like how those things work, what yearare they off of? 2wd, Correct?

They should work excellent on a 4Runner.

mine are off a 96...anything from 88-98 I know works for sure and I've heard about others...Mine are 2wd but you can get the 4wd and pull a leaf to get the 2wd pack...I've heard they work better on a 4 runner cause of the extra weight.

1Bad4Runner

Did they give you much of a lift Silver? I am trying to fit 36's or 37's on my truck.

Where in Washington do you live? Where did you get your lights at? I might replace the ones in the 4runner...OEM kind of looks  in my mind. But then again I'm posting a reply at 5:30 AM and thats a little  too.

bmx-they weren't too bad the hardest part is grinding the UCA...i had to use a big grinder so it was tough to fit in there, also torque em down and put the nylocks on before u put the tire back on.
Yota-I completely spaced and didn't measure before I'd taken everything apart but I'd say I got nearly 4" partially due to completely flat stock springs most likely about a solid 3" is what I'd expect.
Wa4x4- I live up in Bellingham, where are you? which lights? The tails I got off a friend who got em off ebay the clears are from Performance products and the headlights are off ebay.

Thanks Silver... I think that may be enough to clear the 36's  :crossed:

Ya it'l probably be close...alot of people weld on a 1" or so block to the perch when they put the springs on...others use an swap in an add a lead for one of the stock leaves to get that extra bit of height...Good luck that's gonna be sweet when its done!

1Bad4Runner

I'll probobly put a 2" or a 2.5" lift block in the back.

BTW that Orange Toyota isn't the one I'm putting the lift on, just in case you thought it was  :yesnod:
I should really get my 4Runner in my there.

What if I were to add another leaf or so to the 63" pack to add a little height? Again, it is a 4Runner and it isn't bobbed, so I have the weight.

Ya I'll be welding on a 1.5" block to the perch to gain back the 1.5" I lost today by taking out the double shackle. Ya you could probably swap in another leaf...I dunno much about building spring packs so can't help you much there but I see it working. Also I knew it was goin on the Runner  that orange one is sweet too tho.

1Bad4Runner

Yea, i don't know much about building packs either... alls you do is take some random springs, put the together and hope they work  Lol

Thanks, I got rid of the orange one because it was getting to small for me, I like having the 5 seater... much more roomy for me and the girlfriend   :eyebrow:
