ryan there is a white xj in your pic posts up top...is it runnin full widths or do you know?? and WV guys good pics i like the jeep showin that rust bucket what the deal is... good work
I believe those were full widths.. i think thats what i overheard.. didnt get to talk to him much.. i think his name may also have been ryan..in that same pic you can barely see the other white xj.. it was trail functional .. homebuilt long arm and he decided it was a good day to remove the doors.. overall i just like gathering ideas from a bunch of xj's to see what i wanna do

hey boner this is wats gona happen with the project 91-
4.0 jeep inline6 the jeep trany ax15 is the same thats in my 91 i need the bellhousing off a 91-95 jeep five speed bolts to my trany and then i can slam in a 4.0 and i need the wireing harness scaott siad that painless makes wireing harness with a zj computer that is compatable

furry i found out more.....it kinda sucks, but its still ok.....the easiest way to do this is to take the 4.0 jeep motor, bolt it to the jeep ax-15 and bolt on your r150f(toyota) tranny tailhousing, and bolt that to your toy tcase...this is b/c the the jeep (ax15) input shaft is longer than the toyota(r150f) input shaft.....thus meaning if you want to run the 4.0 then u need the jeep bellhouing and the the jeep input shaft, which requires you taking the input shaft out of the jeep tranny and putting it in the yoter tranny......which can be done, but to save time and effort and energy, you just just put in the 4.0, i could rebuild one of my ax15's and trade it for your r150f tranny, and put the toy tailhousing on the jeep tranny for you, so it would bolt up to your 4.0 and your t case......then all i would need to put a 5 spd in my 4 runner is another r150f tailhousing and the clutch assembly(which i could get from u and shane) to convert the 4runner to a 5spd,......then i could sell old laney my 4runner tranny as a spare for his aw4......so either way....your still covered.

hey furry,   i know where you can get a motor
Phillip adams has thst cherokee that he messed up but the motor is still good in it.   If you want to i will go in with you on it.   I could always use the extra parts. :yesnod:

Mac5005

Furry i think the 22r is a good idea, but i am just concered that if you build one or have one built to have the same power as the 4.0 or 4.7, then you will have to worry about the durability and longevity of the built 22r being thrashed.....my opinion is that it might be easier short term, but long term, i think youll save time and money.  I also think you will not have to worry about motor problems with stock 4.0, as you would with a built 22r that has the same power

i think you are all full of crap the allison v12 aircraft engine is the way to go. not only is the length an issue (jeep motor) nobody makes a bellhousing adapter either. however with a little elbow grease and some sawzall blades i think that it will be a solid running truck. actually i would run whats in it for now, do all the suspension mods, learn to outdrive the motor and then figure out how you want your power and build the engine accordingly,.... but thats my opinion and i am usually right as far as i know.  :nope:
